Port Wine Magnolia (evergreen) This tree has a shrub-like habit with glossy green long leaves. The flowers are highly fragrant and are purple in colour lasting well in Spring and Summer. A great feature. Good for smaller gardens and can also be potted. Lovely perfumed flowers make it a great edition to any garden. Prefers a well drained humus rich soil that is slightly acidic. Prefers a full sun position but can tolerate a warm but part shade position. Protect from frost and snow. |
