Royal Purple Smoke Bush Another attractive medium sized deciduous shrub with deep purple foliage that turns to a brilliant blend of oranges and reds in autumn. When the sun shines through it the purple has hints of green which make it illuminate. Its smokey-looking flowers create a mysterious haze in late spring to early summer. A beautiful specimen planting for all gardens. Cotinus are outstanding specimens in a shrub border, and are a great choice for planting in groups or for hedging. This variety tolerates cold well and performs best in well drained soils and full sun. Can tolerate shade and drought once established. |
