Tree Robinia pseudoacacia 'Inermis' Mop Top Robinia (Locust)

Description This tree is a thornless, naturally topiarised Robinia with an upright growth habit. A moderate-growing variety which presents as a standard, with a ball of foliage which sits above a straight trunk. Foliage is bright green, turning yellow in autumn and long, fragrant white flowers appear in late spring or summer, followed by reddish-brown pods. Better suited to a relatively protected site as branches can be brittle and will snap in areas with high winds.
