Tree Quercus palustris 'Free Fall' Pin Oak (early defoliating)
Description This tree has shiny green leaves which turn red in autumn. Very similar to regular Q. palustris but 'Free Fall' loses its leaves quite early in the season (holding onto less brown leaves than reguiar Pin Oak). It has flexible branches which droop at the ends creating a weeping effect.

Uses A great feature tree for large gardens. Can also be used in parks and gardens. Great as an avenue tree due to its fabulous autumn colour.
Position & Soil This species will handle most soils from dry to wet. It prefers an acid, well-drained, moist soil within full sun position and is tolerant of periods of drought.
