Tree Prunus salicina 'Gulf Ruby' Gulf Ruby Dwarf Japanese Plum (Low-chill)
Description This is a small fruit tree that produces full-size clingstone fruit with yellow flesh and attractive pinkish-red skin. Fruit is sweet, juicy and crisp to eat. Gulf Ruby works well in both warm-temperate and subtropical climates, as it requires low chill hours.

Uses Due to its size, it is ideal for backyards, pots, or containers. Can fruit around November in coastal climates and mid-December in colder climates. Can be eaten fresh or used in cooking, stewing, jams and preserves. A pollinator for 'Gulf Gold'.
Position & Soil Known for high crop yields, staking is recommended.
