Description | Native to the Mediterranean, Olive trees are generally hardy trees with good tolerance to poor soils. This one is no exception. The Mission Olive grows between 4-9 m depending on conditions. Ours is grown as a single trunk specimen. The grey-green leaves are thick and leathery. Fruits start green, and turn black when they ripen. |

Uses | Olives are ideally suited to most landscapes as they are long lived, small in stature, and are easily pruned. Where space allows, Olives look great planted in multiple numbers. |
Position & Soil | The Mission Olive will tolerate most soils including loam and sandy as well as prolonged periods of dryness. A humus-rich well-drained soil in a sunny position is preferred. |
