Description	Red Baby with its tidy small leaves is selected for its ability to challenge the Australian Eugenias as a trimmed plant and has many uses in todays gardens. All Metrosideros, including Red Baby are excellent shrubs for exposed positions. Flowers are a bonus to the foliage but are small and crimson red in colour.Red Baby can be pruned to desired size easily.

Position & Soil	Metrosideros is easy to grow over most of coastal Australia. Plant in sunny well draining garden beds with added humus dug in. Mulch well at planting. Once established little supplementary watering is needed except in extreme dry times. Heavy pruning can be carried out at any time. Fertilise only during spring and summer with a well balanced mix.
