Description This hybrid deciduous magnolia features deep purple, goblet shaped flowers which provide a knock-out display in late winter and spring before any leaves appear, creating a great contrast against its dark branches. Foliage appears after flowering and is a matte green colour. This is a woody, deciduous, upright growing tree which flowers from quite a young age.

Uses Its beautiful flower will make it a favourite in the garden. It can be planted singularly or in a row both in parks and landscapes.    
Position & Soil This magnolia prefers a moist, deep soil in a full sun position for best growth and flowers. It can tolerate a wide range of soils. Although it is adaptable to most climates, it should be given protection from strong winds.
