Tree Liriodendron tulipifera Tulip Tree
Description This is a beautiful very large tree with large leaves that have a lovely shape and smooth soft texture. It has striking orange-yellowish flowers decorated with flecks of green in spring. The flowers are solitary and sit in the extreme upper-most branches, resembling tulips, hence the common-name reference to the tulip tree.

Uses A spectacular tree that would make a magnificent specimen tree in a very large lawn or public park.
Position & Soil Prefers a well-drained, fertile, slightly acidic soil in a temperate climate but also tolerates most soils. Enjoys full sun but can occasionally get sun scorched leaves. Tolerates air pollution.
