Chinese Redbud This attractive small tree or shrub is slightly smaller than Cercis silaquastrum. It has abundant groups of rosy-purple spring flowers and attractive heart-shaped green leaves. Looks stunning in spring when in full flower and would suit ornamental gardens when planted as a feature. A great small tree for use in gardens and as a deciduous screen. Suited to most soils. Will tolerate heavy soils and hot, dry periods. Also suitable for colder climate gardens, should cope with frosts and light snow.
