This is a moderately dense, medium upright shrub with a more open habit than other forms of Banksia of similar size. It has tight lime green foliage. The cylindrical flowers are bronze to terracotta-red in colour and seen in autumn and winter. Highly attractive to native birds and insects. A large bird attracting shrub which can be used for hedging or as a single specimen in a small to large native garden. With a preference for moist, well drained, humus-rich soil, this shrub will withstand most soil types and situations in a sunny or partly shaded postion.
